Q: How to add the "Your DNA family" app to the exclusion list for your Windows Antivirus Program?
A: Windows Antivirus programs are leading to a lot of problems as they significantly slow down the opening of our app and interfere with the auto-update feature
We had incidents in the past where Windows OS users with Antivirus software had trouble installing the update. This happens because the Antivirus Scanner was "locking" the file and took a long time to analyze our app (which is 100% virus free, as our macOS is notarized by Apple itself). When the app tried to update itself it wasn't allowed to change/update files because the Antivirus program was still locking them. We highly recommend that you add our app to the Antivirus exclusion list (meaning it's not scanned) or pause/close the Antivirus.
