Follow these steps to update your ethnicity/ancestry composition with new data if you have already added ancestry composition data before
First of all, you can download your ethnicity/ancestry composition file with the following steps:
a) Log into 23andMe and click on "Ancestry & Traits" at the top menu followed by clicking on "Ancestry Composition" in the sub menu that opens:
b) Once the page with your ancestry composition has loaded, please click on the "Scientific Details" menu at the top:
c) Scroll down until you see the following text and button:
Please do not change the confidence level (leave it at 50%) and click on the "Download Raw Data" button in blue. Do not alter the filename when you save it. Ensure that your operating system isn't adding any version to it like "_1" or "(1)" - if so please delete it. Now let's go on to the steps in our app to upload the file you just downloaded.
Step 1:
Navigate to your settings by clicking on your profile picture/circle with your initials at the top of the screen.
Step 2:
Click on the "23andMe Ancestry Composition" option
Step 3:
Click on the "Import .csv or .zip file" button. You will be prompted to locate the ancestry_composition file. If you have just recently downloaded the file, it should be in your "downloads" folder by default.
Step 4:
Once you have selected the file, the file will be imported. Once the file is successfully imported, your ethnicity/ancestry composition should be updated and you should see the following prompt.
