How to install the "Your DNA family" app when you have an Antivirus program

First of all we recommend that you add our app to the exclusion list of your Antivirus software just for the installation and first start of our app.

As an alternative, you can pause the Antivirus software during installation. However, this will still cause problems during the start of the app when it checks and downloads the newest version automatically!

Our macOS version is notarized by Apple and checked for malware. Since the same code is used for the Windows and Linux versions, it's safe to use. While only Apple has checked our app, we guarantee the quality and security of all versions of our app.

Step 1:

After downloading our Windows app, double click on it:

When you see the following screen (Windows protected your PC), click on "More info":

Once you clicked on "More info" you will see a new button at the bottom of the modal called "Run anyway". Click that button to install our app (remember to pause your Antivirus app):

Step 4:

Once the app is installed our Windows app should open automatically (otherwise open it manually by searching for it's name).

As the app checks for updates automatically every 5 minutes, it might happen that it immediately starts to download the newest version:

Give it some 30 seconds (depending on your internet speed) to do so.

Login with the email address and password that you used to register on our website. Remember to not use the "Remember me" feature when you're using a public computer as every other user could log into your account! It is also not recommended to install our app on a public computer.
